Our Trip

Well we have been back for a few days from our trip and I am finally getting around to updating the blog. The trip went really well. Kian was great. We didn't have any problems on the plane with him wanting to run around. He was amazingly good. I was expecting him to want to get up and run around but we were able to keep him busy and it helped that we were able to sit three across with my mom and she could help to keep him busy when we needed to. I think the great thing about deciding to take Kian along was that he is really learning to take naps anywhere, and to adapt to an ever change schedule when on a trip like this. We think it is good for him.

While on the trip the pool baby was also getting in 4 molars. He had a fever the night before we left and didn't want to each much while we were gone. In spite of everything he was so good. He enjoyed being around his aunt Kym and Grandma for an extended period. Grand ma taught him what butterfly kisses are and now gives them by coming toward you with a wild fully opened eye with a big smile wanting to give them to you. He also cracked us up on the plane ride home where he started grabbing both sides of our faces and pulling us in for a kiss. He was a little kissy monster on the plane ride home.

Updates on Kian. He can point to your eyes, nose, ears, mouth and hair when asked. He is singing "macho macho, man" Don't ask me why we started singing it to him. Actually we started by singing "pato, pato man..." while playing with his pato (duck) in the bath. He says food is hot when he sees me cooking or tries to take a warm bite of food. He calls his buddy at day care by name "Matt Matt". I swear every day he says something new that amazes us. Some things we don't even know how he picks them up. He says coke and we don't ever drink it at home or give it to him so we aren't really sure how he learned that one..but if he sees a coke he points and says coke. I guess its just to make his daddy proud =). He says night night when its bed time. He started this on the plane when he say grand ma dozing. We don't want to jinx it but last night Marcio carried him to his crib and said night night and Kian leaned toward the crib and he put him in there and he went to sleep! This is huge he normally falls asleep with us and then we put him in the crib. Lets cross our fingers that it wasn't a fluke.
